About

Chiara holding a bouquet of flowers
01 Chiara.

The name

I'm Chiara. In Italian, chiara means clear and bright, full of light. Malìa is an old Italian word for a charm, a little spell.

Put together, Chiara Malia is what I want every piece to feel like: small, bright, and quietly enchanting. Jewelry you put on in the morning and forget to take off.

How it started

I've been thinking about this since 2024. It started as waves drawn in the margins of my notebooks, the same curl sketched over and over until it felt like the sea. That curl became the Onda wave, and it is still exactly as I drew it.

From sketch to piece

Onda e Marea is the first collection, three ideas taken from the shoreline.

  • Onda · the wave as it curls over.
  • Marea · the wavy line the tide leaves on sand.
  • Mare · the sea itself: a few sky-blue stones on a chain, a blue I call Blu Cielo.

Made to last

Gold-filled, not gold-plated.

Every piece is 14k gold-filled or sterling silver. Gold-filled means a thick layer of real 14k gold is bonded to the metal underneath, many times more gold than plating. It wears like solid gold: it won't flake, fade or turn your skin green, so you can wear it every day for years.

Giving back

Orders ship in recycled, plastic-free packaging, and a portion of every order supports ocean conservation and women's shelters.
